Trader Joe’s Reviewsday Part Two! This one is just a basic review of some products we picked up at the store. DISCLAIMER: We only bought things we actually need because we only had ten minutes max before we really needed to be on the road and our budget was pretty tight, so this isn’t a super exciting round-up. I’ll be by another one in a month and then in May as well, so I’ll do more. There were some things I saw that I already know I want to purchase and test. YAY! (unless you don’t want any more TJ, then I’ll MAYBE restrain myself…or you’ll just have to deal. haha!)
We picked up six things;
Rose Water Facial Toner – This is the product I’m most excited about! I have been using Pixi Glow Tonic, and I really like it, but it’s a little too pricy for me to buy all the time. This is a GREAT cheaper alternative! It was less than four dollars! If you use a high-end toner of course you probably won’t like this, but if you’re in the habit of spending $15 for a toner, don’t! Use this TJ toner. You’re welcome.
Mostly Mesquite Honey -I love this honey! It’s the main reason I was excited to get to Trader Joe’s because we used to get it in Boise, and it lasted FOREVER. It’s worth going to the Trader Joe’s just for the honey because it’s tasty BUT also saves you money. Win win! I’m such an adult, getting excited about buying good, but cheap honey.
Unsweetened Almond, Cashew& Macadamia Nut Beverage – This stuff is good…on things. I would not drink this on its own in large quantities because it’s really just a watery nondairy milk and there are better versions of that you could reach for. BUT it is really good on cereal or in other things and adds a good depth of flavor you can’t find in cow’s milk.
Organic Toasted Coconut Granola (GF)- I decided to get into granola with milk while on this trip. Sounds silly, but ehhh whatever. This granola has coconut, almonds and my favorite thing about it is it’s not heavy or overly-hard like many granolas can be. It’s a solid, tasty, transitional granola for anyone wanting to try it.
Reusable large canvas bag – Their bags are tough! They aren’t flimsy ones and seem like they’ll last a long time.
Mango fresh drink – In the cold juice section they have individual drinks and there is a fresh mango juice and it is delicious! I just figured it would be worth mentioning because, it was yummy and sometimes fresh juices can be a gamble? I don’t know.
